27. Participation in Cultural Life and Copyright. We all have the right to our own way of life and to enjoy the good things that art, science and learning bring. Copyright is a special law that protects one’s own artistic creations and writings; others cannot make copies without permission. 


The Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that every every person has the inherent right to enjoy the cultural life of their nation.  Each of us has the right to participate in the cultural life of our community.   

At the same time, the declaration as addressed Copyright internationally.  They signatories promoted the belief, now widespread, that the creator of art or scientific advance has the right to the production of that creation
